I don't know
It's still a fantastic show. Maybe not so hot if 74 is the only year you're looking at, but who listens to a whole year of GD all at one time? Oh, wait...this guy.
September 6, 2012 Subject:
2nd best moments of run
Europe '74 was just 2 shows in Paris, 1 in Dijon, 1 in Munich and this 3-day run at the then-famous Ally Pally. The first night was plagued with technical problems. This night was weirdly inconsistent with great peaks interspersed with lots of oops! For the best set of the run, try the stellar 2nd set on the 11th.
Dick's 7 hits all the highlights from this show except the China Cat>Rider. Coming in the middle of the set, the first part has this short but way unique jam in the last few minutes. The latter is the protypically '74 version - the mellow proud strut. This Dark Star, one of just 6 in '74, is slow and jazzy, but my least favorite of the year.
1st Set: B-
2nd Set: C+
3 Stars Highlights:
Weather Report>LiG>Stella Blue
Me and My Uncle - A consistent song for the band, yet here's an A+ version
Big River - This might surpass that '75 on One From the Vault. A+
Not Fade Away - A wonderful 16 minutes
Morning Dew - go Phil
